Welcome to the 2023-2024 U7 House League season. My name is Kayla O’Donnell and I will be serving as the U7 House League Convenor for the coming season. This will be my first year as a House League Convenor but my fifth year with a child in the U7 program.
The U7 Program is centered around introducing our youngest Hockey Players to the game of hockey, develop their basic skills, foster self confidence, a love of the game and most importantly have FUN!
With a player participating in the U7 Program, you can expect them to participate in series of drills and on ice games that will develop their skating, passing, shooting and general puck control. “Hockey Games” are cross-ice, with no score keeping and an overall objective of ALL players having FUN.
Equipment Requirements:
All players are required to dress in full equipment while on the ice. The following is a list of required hockey equipment:

| Neck Protector/Neck Guard | Practice Jersey |
| Helmet and Facial Protector (CSA-Approved) | Hockey Gloves |

| Hockey Stick | Mouthguard (Recommended Only) |
The U7 Program is driven by the commitment of our volunteers, and the more help the better. All teams will need coaches and on-ice helpers. If you cannot help on the ice, please consider helping your players team in other ways as a Trainer, Manager, Treasurer or Dressing Room Key holder.
I am aware that during the course of the season, issues or concerns may raise. The KMHA does have a conflict resolution process in place. If you can not resolve the matter by talking to your players coach, please feel free to contact me at: U7convenor@kmha.ca.
