Hello, and welcome to the 2022-2023 KMHA season!
This year you have two convenors overseeing U15 (2008/2009). Our names are Kostyantyn Grygoryev and Chantal Plunkett. During the season we can both be reached using the following email: U15convenor@kmha.ca. We look forward to contributing to a successful season for our players, goalies, parents and volunteers.
Season Overview
VOLUNTEERS – Sort Outs and Team Staff
We are currently looking for volunteers both for the sort out process and for Team Official positions. To volunteer please complete the following form. https://docs.google.com/…/1FAIpQLScTdMAerOR8po…/viewform
Please do not email us directly to notify us of your interest. The form helps us keep the information in one place and ensures we don’t miss you. Only those who complete this document will be considered for volunteer and Team Officials positions. Knowing your intentions ahead of time helps us balance teams with both players and team staff to ensure everyone is well supported for the season.
If you have volunteered via the above form, you will receive separate communications from us shortly with more details on needs and assignments. We also wish to thank you in advance for your help and support this season!
EQUIPMENT
If you are not familiar with equipment requirements for Hockey, please view more details here: https://kmha.ca/risk-and-safety/equipment-information/
SORT OUTS
Near the end of August, your family will receive a welcome email from one of the U15 Convenors. This email will provide your welcome details needed for the sort out process.
Over 3 consecutive weekends, each player and goalie will be assigned a specific ID number for scheduled skills and games evaluations. Your child’s ice time will be available on the KMHA website (https://kmha.ca/bantam-sort-outs/ ) and can be found using the player ID number that will be included in the welcome email to each player. If you have not received a welcome email by September 5th, please reach out to us.
After the sort outs we will balance the teams within each level (A, B & C) to the best of our ability. Friend requests cannot be entertained as not to influence team composition and/or to potentially create an imbalance. Evaluations of each player will be done by a number of evaluators who will provide feedback and recommendations for sorting. More details on evaluation drills for skills day and game criterias will be provided. At this time U15 is slated to have approximately 12 teams, subject to change based on registration.
SCHEDULE – Sort Outs
It is likely that sorting information will only be available 1-1.5 weeks before the skills weekend. Please find below the time blocks for U15 sort outs. We share these with you in hopes to help with your family plans. Individual player ice times will be posted on the KMHA website ( https://kmha.ca/bantam-sort-outs/ ), using assigned player ID numbers, as soon as possible.
