- July 7 2023- until full **Registration will Open to everyone, including New, Transferring and Returning players (KMHA returning players that did not early bird register). Space not guaranteed (first come first serve basis)
- August 4, 2023 Late fees will apply to all registrants.
- August 10th No changes to Competitive Tryouts (no changes, or add on’s or refunds) .
Competitive Hockey versus House League Hockey
Competitive hockey has Tryouts– House league hockey has Sort Outs
Competitive hockey (depending on the division can be on the ice up to 4 times per week, and possibly dryland training). House league hockey , you will have 1 practice and 1 game per week typically)
Team Fees- Competitive Hockey
Competitive hockey team fees – upon making a team – team fees can vary from $800-$3000.00 – This will be presented in your first team meeting at the start of the season. These extra costs will cover tournaments, dry land training, extracurriculars, etc.). This is above and beyond the fees you pay for registration. These fees are mandatory and must be paid in the payment schedule outlined at the start of your season by the team coach and team manager. There is no option to opt out of TEAM FEES.
Team Fees- House League
It is important to note that all House League hockey has team fees – upon being placed on a team – team cost can vary from 0- $400.00 (these extra costs will cover tournaments, dry land training, extracurriculars, etc.). Competitive Tryouts Important Reminders
- Make sure to select only the highest level that you wish your player to begin tryouts at– Do not select more than 1 tryout per player.
- Do not select and pay for more tryout per player i.e. do not select AA tryouts as well as B tryouts. Should your player be released they will automatically go down to the next level of tryouts at no extra charge.
Competitive Tryouts Fees (only select 1 per player when registering)
AA -$195.00- If player is released from AA tryouts, that player will move down automatically to the next level of tryout available at the division at no extra charge.
A – $145.00-If player is released from A tryouts, that player will move down automatically to the next level of tryout available at the division at no extra charge.
B– $145.00-If player is released from B tryouts, that player will move down automatically to House League Sort Outs at no extra charge.
House League Players Sort Outs
Those players and goalies wishing to play “house league only” do not select any competitive tryouts.
Competitive Tryout Deadline
Deadline is August 10th to add, or withdraw from competitive tryouts. After that date, no changes/no refunds will be made.
New Player Registration
New players are considered those that live in Kanata and have never played hockey before.
Transferring Player Registration
Transferring players are those players who have played organized hockey outside of the Kanata area and have moved into the Kanata area.
Myers U18(junior)/AAA HOPEFULS
This is Mandatory
Do not Pre Register and then Register- Only Pre Register
You must “pre register” with your home association prior to registering for AAA /junior tryouts .
This is for the 2 reasons listed below- If you fail to do this prior to your AAA or junior tryouts and are released and need to come back to KMHA you player is not guaranteed a spot and will be waitlisted (this could end in the possibility that that player will not be able to attend or tryout for our AA teams). Please do not fail to do this.
- Proof that you live in the Hockey District that falls within that AAA team.
- Should you be released from AAA or Junior your spot will be reserved here at KMHA for your player to return to (note it is important that as soon as your player is released you contact our registrar at registrar@kmha.ca to complete registration here and to register for our AA tryouts).
New this season, you will no longer pre register by google docs and pay via e transfer– Instead you will log use the HCR Spordle link and select AAA/junior pre registration and pay online directly via credit card the $25.00 administration fee.

- Pre register your player or goalie – you will be also requested to sign off on all waivers including Hockey Canada Waiver, Rowan’s Law and Player and Parent Code of Conduct
- Pay the $25.00 non refundable administration fee. Should your player return to KMHA that $25.00 fee will be deducted from the remaining registration and tryout fees you will to have to pay.)
Should your player be released from AAA or Junior and your player comes back here to tryout and play, please contact the registrar to complete and pay for tryouts and registration with KMHA.-
If your player makes the AAA or Junior team, please send us an email letting us know – send to registrar@kmha.ca give your players full name and let the registrar know what team you player has made.

KMHA offers families with 3 or more players a family discount. The discounts are as follows:
3rd child – $60 off
4th child – $90 off
5th child – $90 off
