KMHA Development
In conjunction with KMHA Hockey Programs, many efforts will be made to provide opportunities for players, coaches and team officials to take part in various development opportunities, both on and off the ice. The Development Coordinator will be involved in many aspects of KMHA and be in constant contact with parents, coaches, team officials, players and the Executive throughout the season to ensure that opportunities are communicated effectively.
KMHA Player Development
The Kanata Minor Hockey Association strives to develop all players to their full potential, both on and off the ice. Various clinics and opportunities will be available throughout the season, such as, but not limited to:
- Goalie Development
- Power Skating
- Specialty Clinics (for example: face-offs, developing defensemen)
- Seminars (Fitness, Nutrition)
- 1/2 Ice Hockey Player development
In addition, mandatory Body Checking Clinics will be available in August 2012 for players new to body contact. Players will be required to attend one of these sessions if they are new to trying out for a Competitive Team involved in body contact. Goalies are not required to attend these sessions.
If you have any questions or suggestions for anything related to Player, Coach or team Official development, please do not hesitate to contact me.
