Dear KMHA Families,
Kanata Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) has determined that there is insufficient interest amongst registered participants to necessitate the fielding of the U10 Competitive B for the upcoming 2023-2024 hockey season.
As result of the dissolution of the U10 Competitive B team, the Kanata Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) offers the following options to the affected, registered participants:
Option #1:
The Kanata Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) hereby extends the option for your registered child to move up and participate in U10 Competitive A tryouts. There will be NO additional cost to your family to accept this option.
Option #2:
The Kanata Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) can refund the U10 Competitive B Tryout Fee to you and your registered child will be transferred to the U11 House League Program.
Option #3:
The Kanata Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) can refund ALL fees (Registration and Tryout fees) to your family. You will be free to reach out on your accord to other Associations to see if they are accepting imports at U10 Competitive B. Please note, you can not seek to import at a higher level with another Association. Furthermore, the Kanata Minor Hockey Association (KMHA) is not aware of any other Associations that are currently seeking to import players.
We fully understand the disappointment you may have over this decision. At time, we respectfully request that you notify the KMHA Registrar at: registrar@kmha.ca, which of the three options listed above that you wish to pursue as soon as possible.
NOTE: KMHA is planning on running extra development sessions for this age group this year so please keep checking KMHA website for updates.
