, KMHA NewsMessage from the President- April 1, 2021

Dear KMHA Members,

Considering today`s news from the Province of Ontario regarding new restrictions for the Ottawa region beginning April 3rd, our Board of Directors are saddened to announce that the remainder of our current program’s session will be cancelled as of April 2nd, resulting in our 2020/2021 season coming to an end.

As mentioned in a previous communication, our second session fees will be prorated, and refunds will be issued. The amount of your refund would be dependant on the number of ice times we were able to fulfill.

Our Board of Directors will be meeting imminently and more information on the refund amount and process will be communicated to you next week.

Our goal from the onset of this unique season was to provide our members the ability to enjoy the sport we all are passionate about in the safest way possible. Having said that, I personally feel that this goal was accomplished and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those involved.

To our Board of Directors, General Manager, Return to Hockey Task Team members, Committee members, Head Coach`s, Assistant Coach`s, Goalie Coach`s, Trainer`s, Safety officers and all other team volunteer`s, I want to say “Thank You” for all the many hours you dedicated to making this goal a reality, your efforts are deeply appreciated.

I would also like to recognize and thank all of you, our members. This unique season presented many challenges for you as well, resulting in many tough decisions having to be made on how to proceed with hockey in your own circumstance. Having said that, I say “Thank You”

I hope everyone has a great spring and summer and we look forward to seeing you around the rinks when our programs resume.

Stay Safe and well!

Sincerely,

Ralph Petersen

KMHA President
