Hello Midget Players and Parents,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 hockey season. We are looking forward to a great year and a successful hockey season. We, Sarah Smith and Shelley Zimmerman, will be working together to convene the KMHA Midget House hockey.

As of today, it looks like Midget will be running 15 teams divided into A and B levels. The number of teams at each level will be determined during sort-outs.

SORT-OUT TIMES

Evaluations will take place during scrimmage games. The primary goals of the evaluations are to ensure the appropriate level for each player and to create balanced teams for the season.

This year players will have four on-ice evaluations prior to placement on a team – two during Week One and two during Week Two.

Week One: Tuesday, September 18 – Sunday, September 23

Week Two: Tuesday, September 25 – Saturday, September 29

You will be contacted shortly with specific information for your first ice time.

VOLUNTEERS

To run a successful sort-out, and in turn, a successful season, we need a group of volunteers to help with off-ice activities during sort-outs. We are looking for volunteers to help with the registration process and with benches during games (opening doors and trainers). If you would like to volunteer, please send us an email.

We are also looking for volunteers with teams during the season. Please contact us to express your interest in volunteering with KMHA on a team this year. We need coaches and bench staff.

If you have any questions about the upcoming season, please email us at kmhamidgetconvenor2018@gmail.com.

See you at the rink!

Shelley and Sarah
